HUNTINGTON, Ind. – Following a great weekend at the ITA Midwest Regional Championship the Indiana Wesleyan University women’s tennis team got back to team competition with an 8-1 win at Huntington (Ind.).

COACH SHIGLEY SAYS…

• “Our girls were tired and banged up from ITAs. In fact, we had to take two of our regular singles players out of the lineup in Alex Mella and Laura Moore due to hurting bodies. Some of our girls had to play one or two spots higher in the lineup than usual. Overall, we played well. Huntington has a really good team. Probably their best team in several years.”
   

UP NEXT FOR WOMEN’S TENNIS

• Indiana Wesleyan plays a pair matches this upcoming Saturday. IWU opens at 9 a.m. in Fort Wayne vs. Indiana Tech and completes the day with a 2:30 p.m. start time at Spring Arbor (Mich.).
