MARION, Ind. -- The past five seasons have witnessed Indiana Wesleyan University and Marian (Ind.) as the top two teams in the Crossroads League women’s tennis standings. So Saturday’s showdown loomed large and Indiana Wesleyan captured all six singles points to overcome a deficit following doubles for the huge 7-2 victory.

• “We played a very tough Marian team today. Got down 2-1 after doubles but the girls kept their composure and played outstanding singles to win all six singles points. Marian is a really good team and I expect to see them ranked in the top-15 come spring season. It was an excellent match and there was terrific sportsmanship from both teams.”
