MARION, Ind. -- No. 9 Indiana Wesleyan University women’s tennis defeated No. 17 Northwestern Ohio and No. 18 Olivet Nazarene (Ill.) to end the regular season on Senior Day at the Mark Richards Classic. The wins give Indiana Wesleyan a new program record with 28 wins in a season.

- Indiana Wesleyan won two of the three doubles matches for the early 2-1 lead.
- Katie Wilson (SR/Middletown, Ind.) and Lucia Solis (FR/Tucuman, Argentina) won 8-1 at the top doubles position while Kelsey Vessels (JR/Roanoke, Ind.) and Ellen Hornett (JR/Fishers, Ind.) pulled out an 8-2 victory at No. 3-doubles. The No. 2 team of Rachel Bottorff (JR/Newburgh, Ind.) and Alex Mella (FR/Libertyville, Ill.) were defeated 8-6.
- Indiana Wesleyan won the only three singles matches that were completed as it gave them five points for the team win.
- Rachel Bottorff won 6-2 6-0 at No. 3-singles, Mikayla Marazzi (JR/Abbotsford, BC) earned a 6-1, 6-2 win at No. 5-singles, and Marissa Klein (FR/Evansville, Ind) collected the point at No. 6-singles with a 6-2, 6-0 victory.
