Men?s Tennis Drops Pair of Matches in Kentucky

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. -- #RV Indiana Wesleyan University men’s tennis lost two matches on Saturday in Kentucky. IWU lost 6-0 in both contests to Top-25 opponents, No. 7 Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) and No. 17 Campbellsville (Ky.).

  • Lindsey Wilson swept double matches for the early 3-0 score.
  • Leonard Mathews (SR/Merrillville, Ind.) and Brandon Dubuque (SR/Marion, Ind.) lost 8-1 at No. 1, Tyler Abbott (FR/Atlanta, Ga.) and Daniel Smith (SR/Crown Point, Ind.) fell 8-6 at No. 2, and Austin Christner (SO/Goshen, Ind.) and Caleb Cottrell (SO/Hudsonville, Mich.) were defeated 8-3 at No. 3.
  • Three matches were completed in singles play to give LWC the 6-0 team victory. The other three matches went unfinished.
  • Brandon Dubuque lost 6-2, 6-1 at No. 2-singles, Austin Christner dropped a 6-3, 6-3 decision at No. 4-singles, and Andrew Block (FR/Fishers, Ind.) was beaten 6-2, 6-3 at No. 6-singles.
