LEBANON, Tenn. -- No. 15 Indiana Wesleyan University women’s tennis opened their big Spring Break trip with a 5-4 victory over No. 13 Cumberland (Tenn.) on Friday in Lebanon, Tennessee. Lucia Solis (FR/Tucuman, Argentina) won 11 of the final 12 games in No. 2-singles to earn the three set victory and clinch the team win.

- Cumberland led 2-1 with the conclusion of doubles. Rachel Bottorff (JR/Newburgh, Ind.) and Alex Mella (FR/Libertyville, Ill.) earned the lone double win for Indiana Wesleyan with an 8-5 score at No. 2-doubles.
- Katie Wilson (SR/Middletown, Ind.) and Lucia Solis suffered their first doubles loss of the season today in an 8-5 defeat at No. 1-doubles. This was a rematch of the ITA-NAIA Doubles National Championship in October which the IWU pair won 6-0, 6-1.
- Kelsey Vessels (JR/Roanoke, Ind.) and Ellen Hornett (JR/Fishers, Ind.) lost 8-2 in the No. 3 match.
- The Wildcats rebounded from the doubles deficit to win four of the six singles matches to earn the 5-4 team victory.
- Lucia Solis won the pivotal game for Indiana Wesleyan with a 4-6, 7-6, 6-0 win at No. 2-singles. After losing the first set, Solis trailed 5-2 in the second set. She went on to win 11 of the next 12 games to secure the critical point.
- Rachel Bottorff won 6-0, 6-2 at No. 3-singles, Alex Mella earned the 7-5, 6-2 victory at No. 4-singles, and Marissa Klein (FR/Evansville, Ind) took a 7-5, 6-2 win at No. 6-singles.
- Katie Wilson fell 1-6, 6-2, 6-4 at No. 1-singles and Mikayla Marazzi (JR/Abbotsford, BC) lost 1-6, 6-1, 6-4 at No. 5-singles.
