- The IWU lead would get no larger than 10 points during the second half but they held a single digit lead throughout the final 20 minutes.
- Bethel cut the deficit to three points on an old fashion 3-point play with 1:16 left in the fourth quarter.
- Carlee Cottrell (SR/West Bloomfield, Mich.) missed a 3-pointer on the next Wildcat possession but an offensive rebound kept the ball for IWU. IWU held the ball late into the shot clock but Kelsey Key (JR/Anderson, Ind.) missed a 3-pointer as Bethel gained possession with 13 seconds left.
- The Pilots launched two game-tying 3-point attempts in the final six seconds but each missed as the Wildcats escaped with the 47-44 victory.
- No Wildcat scored in double figures. Anna Imhoff (SO/Carmel, Ind.) and Haley Woodruff (JR/Evansville, Ind.) led the team with eight points apiece.
