MOBILE, Ala. -- Dallas Baptist (Texas) University defeated Indiana Wesleyan University in the final match of pool play at the NCCAA Women's Tennis National Championship in Mobile, Alabama.
With the win, Dallas Baptist earns the top-seed in Pool A while Indiana Wesleyan takes the second seed. Heading into the match, both teams had already clinched spots in the NCCAA semifinals with two shutout wins on Tuesday.
Indiana Wesleyan draws the top-seed in Pool B which is Palm Beach Atlantic (Fla.) University. PBAU won both of their pool play matches by 5-0 margins.
Dallas Baptist swept doubles play with the IWU No. 3-doubles team of Aubrey Lohser and Diane Jones having the best match. They fell 8-4 while the two other teams both lost 8-1. Dallas Baptist finished the victory with straight set wins in No. 2-singles and No. 3-singles.
The Wildcats will play Palm Beach Atlantic tomorrow at 10 a.m. ET. The winner will earn a chance to play for the NCCAA national championship later in the afternoon.
