SPRING ARBOR, Mich. -- Indiana Wesleyan University women's tennis beat Spring Arbor (Mich.) University and the rain on Saturday afternoon at Spring Arbor, Michigan.
IWU collected their fifth point of the match to clinch the 5-0 team victory just minutes before the rains brought a close to the match.
No doubles matches were contested and Lisa Massey did not complete her No. 1-singles match, which she was leading 6-3, 1-0 at the time of the rain showers.
Andrea Meyering won No. 2-singles 6-1, 6-2 and Lauren Wilson won 6-0, 6-1 in No. 4-singles. Eva Delk in No. 3-singles, Caitlin McGuire in No. 5-singles and Aubrey Lohser in No. 6-singles all won by 6-0, 6-0 scores.
Indiana Wesleyan improves to 5-0 this season and 4-0 in Mid-Central College Conference play. IWU will next play at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, September 14 at home against Taylor (Ind.) University.
