MARION, Ind. -- Indiana Wesleyan University women's tennis had no problems with Aquinas (Mich.) College on Friday afternoon in the first match of the Doc Richards Invitational at the Sutter Tennis Center.
The Wildcats won 9-0 against the Saints to improve to 7-0 during the spring season and 19-0 overall.
No. 1-doubles team of Lisa Massey and Eva Delk won 8-4, No. 2-doubles of Julia Hedgebeth and Caitlin McGuire earned an 8-3 victory while the No. 3-doubles team of Courtney Kooyers and Laura Helm easily won 8-1.
Hedgebeth won 6-1, 6-3 in No. 1-singles, No. 2 Massey earned a point with a 6-1, 6-0 victory, Delk won 6-0, 6-1 in No. 3 play, No. 4 McGuire earned a 6-2, 6-4 win, Kooyers captured the point at No. 5-singles 6-0, 6-1 and No. 6 Laura Helm finished with a 6-1, 6-1 victory.
The Wildcats play Indiana University-Southeast at 9 a.m. and Taylor (Ind.) University at 2 p.m. on Saturday.
