MARION, Ind. -- Indiana Wesleyan University men's tennis easily defeated visiting Spring Arbor (Mich.) University 9-0 on Saturday afternoon at the Sutter Tennis Center.
The victory moves the Wildcats to 2-0 on the season with both wins coming in Mid-Central College Conference action.
The top doubles team of junior Ben Bischoff and senior Luke Wright won 8-4. The No. 2-double pair of junior Carson VandenBossche and sophomore Matt Pedersen won 8-2 while the No. 3 tandem of sophomore Micah May and freshman Luke Montgomery earned an 8-3 victory.
Indiana Wesleyan cruised in singles play as well as the Wildcats did not drop a single set.
Winning singles contest for the Wildcats were: Pedersen (7-5, 6-2), Bischoff (6-2, 6-2), VandenBossche (6-0, 6-0), Wright (6-4, 6-4), May (6-2, 6-0) and Montgomery (6-3, 6-0).
Indiana Wesleyan will return to the courts at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, September 9, as the Wildcats travel to Upland, Indiana to battle Taylor University.
