INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- The Indiana Wesleyan University men's tennis team easily defeated host Marian (Ind.) College 9-0 on Thursday afternoon in Indianapolis, Indiana.
The victory moves the Wildcats to a 6-0 Mid-Central College Conference record and 6-1 overall.
Indiana Wesleyan swept doubles competition as No. 1-doubles senior Luke Wright and junior Ben Bischoff (8-5), No. 2-doubles junior Carson VandenBossche and sophomore Matt Pedersen (8-4) and No. 3 team of sophomore Micah May and freshman Luke Montgomery (9-7) all earned points for IWU.
Pedersen (6-1, 6-2), Bischoff (6-1, retire), VandenBossche (6-1, 6-2), Wright (6-3, 6-0), May (6-2, 6-2) and Montgomery (6-4, 6-2) all won straight sets for the Wildcats in singles play.
Indiana Wesleyan returns to the court at 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 27, as the Wildcats host Defiance (Ohio) College at Sutter Tennis Center.
