Box Score INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- University of Indianapolis defeated the Indiana Wesleyan University volleyball team by a 3-0 decision on Wednesday night in Indianapolis, Indiana.
The match was a battle between two ranked programs. Indiana Wesleyan is No. 24 in the NAIA poll while Indianapolis is No. 23 in NCAA Division II.
The Wildcats lost the three set match by scores of 19-25, 20-25 and 26-28.
IWU junior opposite hitter Kelli Ziegler collected 12 digs and six kills for the Wildcats and senior outside hitter Rebekah Reichard also amassed six kills in addition to one ace. Senior setter Krystin Coleman delivered a team-best eight assist and senior middle hitter Jill MacMillan blocked three Indianapolis attacks.
Indiana Wesleyan is now 9-8 on the season as Indianapolis improves to 10-2.
The Wildcats return to play on Tuesday, September 23, as Indiana Wesleyan hits the road to play MCC foe Goshen (Ind.) College.
