LEXINGTON, Ky. – Indiana Wesleyan volleyball earned five AVCA awards, as announced by the AVCA on Tuesday afternoon. Eva Joldersma and Candace Moats headlined the awards for the Wildcats. Joldersma was named the AVCA Player of the Year for the third straight year and Moats was named AVCA NAIA Coach of the Year for the second time. The Wildcats also earned three AVCA NAIA All-Americans.
Joldersma and Abbigail Porter led the way for the Wildcats on the First Team and Marissa Mullins was named to the Honorable Mention team for a second straight season.
Moats guided the Wildcats to a 33-4 record and a third consecutive NAIA National Championship. IWU went 17-1 in the Crossroads League and recorded nine wins over NAIA Coaches' Top-25 teams. This marks the second time she has been named the AVCA NAIA Coach of the Year after winning the award in 2023.
Joldersma finished her senior campaign with a total of 383 kills and averaged 4.21 kills per set with an attack percentage of .242. Her 4.21 Kill/S and 4.7 Points/S both ranked ninth in the NAIA. She also posted 220 digs, 46 blocks, 22 service aces, and 11 assists. She has won the AVCA NAIA Player of the Year Award and been named AVCA NAIA First Team All-American for three consecutive seasons.
Porter was named to the AVCA NAIA All-American First Team for the third straight year. The senior setter was third in the NAIA with 1315 assists and fourth with 11.43 Assists/S. She also recorded 353 digs, 59 blocks, 70 kills, and 26 service aces.
Mullins was named AVCA NAIA All-American Honorable Mention for a second straight year. She totaled 367 kills, averaging 2.82 Kill/S, hit .376%, and recorded 145 blocks to cap off her senior season.
