Freshman second baseman Derek Freds tallied two hits while scoring one run and driving in another. Senior outfielder Matt Burthay sophomore Ben Zachary each went 1-for-3 at the plate with a double.
The Wildcats handed Hannibal-LaGrange their first loss in eight games in Florida. Sophomore Kreigh Hirschy collected the win as he allowed one unearned run in six innings for IWU. Hirschy allowed four hits and struck out one batter.
Senior Shay Harden went 2-for-4 with a double and two runs scored and senior catcher Ryan Moore was 2-for-3 with a double and two RBIs. Senior shortstop Jeff Pierce contributed a double and 2 RBIs.
The final game of the night was cut short after five innings due to rain to prevent the Wildcats from a perfect 3-0 day.
