MARION, Ind. -- The Indiana Wesleyan University women?s tennis team remained unbeaten with a 9-0 shutout of Goshen (Ind.) College at the Sutter Tennis Center.
Julie Hedgebeth (6-3, 6-1), Eva Delk (6-2, 6-0), Brittany Raymond (6-1, 6-2), Lisa Massey (6-1, 6-0) Kristi Haddad (6-1, 6-0) and Courtney Kooyers (6-1, 6-3) all won their singles matches in straight sets.
The Wildcats completed the shutout victory with three wins in doubles competition. Raymond and Haddad won 8-5 in No. 1-doubles, Delk and Massey were victorious 8-5 in No. 2- doubles while Kooyers and Laura Helm won No. 3-doubles with an 8-3 win.
The win pushes Indiana Wesleyan to 8-0 during the fall season and 4-0 in the Mid-Central College Conference. Goshen falls to 1-4 overall and 0-4 in conference action.
Indiana Wesleyan returns to the courts on September 20-22 as the Wildcats compete in the ITA Midwest Regional.
