Marion, Ind.-- The Indiana Wesleyan University women?s tennis team extended their fall regular season winning streak to 151 games with a 9-0 win over Mid-Central College Conference opponent the University of St. Francis Tuesday.
IWU?s number one single Julia Hedgebeth won 6-2, 6-1 over Renee Shetterley. Freshman Eva Delk defeated Andrea Yoder 6-1, 6-0. Number three Brittany Raymond won 6-0, 6-1. Lisa Massey recorded two 6-1 wins. Number six Courtney Kooyers shutout Cortney Shepard 6-0, 6-0. Number five Kristi Haddad overcame a 4-3 deficit in the final match to win 6-4 to get the win after winning the first set 6-1.
Raymond and Haddad won 8-2 in number one doubles. Delk and Massey combined for a 8-3 victory and Kooyers and Laura Helm won 8-2.
The Wildcats (5-0, 3-0) play again this Thursday, September 13, at Bethel College.
