Kyle Buresh

Kyle Buresh begins his first season with the Wildcats in 2018 as the Pass Game Coordinator/ Wide Receivers coach. 

In 2016 and 2017, Buresh served as the pass game coordinator/quarterbacks & wide receivers coach at Dakota Wesleyan University where he helped guide one of the top offenses in the NAIA. 

In 2017, DWU ranked second in the country in total offense (560.7 yards per game) and fifth in 2016 (517.6 yards per game). In 2016 and 2017, the offense ranked in the top-10nationally in points per game, first downs, passing efficiency, passing, and 3rd down conversions. He mentored DWU’s quarterback to becoming an All-American, two-time NAIA Player of the Year Finalist, and two-time GPAC Conference Player of the Year. DWU’s quarterback finished his career third in total offense in NAIA history. In 2017, Buresh mentored the nation’s leading receiver and NAIA All-American and four wide receivers earned GPAC All-Conference recognition in 2016 and 2017.  He also served as the academic coordinator for the football program which finished the 2016-2017 school year with the second highest GPA in the nation.

He spent 2014-2015 coaching the wide receivers at Wheaton College (Ill.). Buresh helped guide the Thunder to two CCIW conference championships, two Sweet 16 playoff appearances, and a record of 22-2.  In 2015, the Thunder offense led the conference in Total Offense and Scoring Offense. Two wide receivers earned All-Conference recognition during Buresh’s two seasons at Wheaton.

Prior to working at Wheaton, Buresh coached at Midland University (Neb.) from 2011-2013.  He served as the co-offensive coordinator/wide receivers coach in 2013. In his time at Midland, he coached wide receivers, running backs and special teams. Buresh mentored one NAIA All American wide receiver and eight All-Conference players during his time at Midland. The Warriors earned the NAIA Champions of Character team award in 2012.

Buresh earned his Masters of Education in Leadership from Midland and his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Secondary Education from Franklin College (Ind.) in 2011. Buresh served as an intern at Franklin where he coached the linebackers during spring football in 2011. As a player, Buresh was a three-time letter winner and three-time Academic All-Conference defensive back. At Franklin, he was a part of three conference championships and three playoff appearances.

Buresh is from LaPorte, Indiana and currently resides in Marion.
