STRATEGIC COMMUNICATIONS

Overview:

• Assisting full-time staff members with coverage of select Indiana Wesleyan Athletic programs.
• Serving in a variety of game day roles including maintaining live stats and social media accounts.
• Assisting with the writing of press releases.
• Assisting with generating, posting, and maintaining content on iwuwildcats.com and team social channels.
• Assisting in the research and production of game notes and preview stories as well as the organization of photo databases.
• Ideal (but not required) skills include knowledge of AP writing style, strong copy writing ability, and Adobe InDesign and Photoshop.

GAMEDAY OPERATIONS ASSISTANT

Overview:

• Serving in a variety of game day roles including:
• Stats
• Scoreboard/clock operation
• Livestream production

Overview:

• Capture and edit high-energy video content to enhance social media timelines.
• Cover teams in competition and at practices.
• Generate story-telling content to enhance awareness of impactful stories around Indiana Wesleyan Athletics.

LIVE STREAM BROADCAST

Overview:

• Broadcasting all Indiana Wesleyan sporting events on Urban Edge Network.
• Tell the story of athletes, coaches, and games through visual storytelling.
• Fast-paced working environment and emphasis on teamwork and communication. 
• Positions include: Broadcasting, Replay/Graphics, and Camera Operator.

PUBLIC ADDRESS ANNOUNCER

Overview:

• Game day Public Address announcing for IWU Athletics sporting events.
• In-Game reads include: Starting Lineups, Key Plays, Ad Reads, etc. 
• Qualifications: Strong voice talent and ability to speak clearly.

SOCIAL MEDIA

Overview:

• Opportunity to gain knowledge and understanding of social media and social media marketing while helping to provide unique and on-brand content with assigned programs.
• Create an atmosphere/theme with social media channels.
• Utilize your creativity to elevate the social media brand of the Wildcats.
• Opportunities to capture content at practice, during competition and around campus.

GRAPHIC DESIGN

Overview:

• Creation of graphics for the department and teams to be used on social media and physical spaces.
• Manage creative direction for individual athletics teams.
• Assist in managing and updating content using Adobe Creative Suite, or similar tools.
• Collaborate with other designers on various projects.

PHOTOGRAPHY

Overview:

• Create photography assets from event coverage including games, practices, and non-sport events.
• Take photos at games, practices and events.
• Develop and learn studio photography skills.
• Assist with media days and recruit shoots.

GAMEDAY PROMOTIONS

Overview:

• Implement the promotions and game day activities for assigned sports.
• Coordinate with event management to set up event needs (tables, chairs, food services, giveaway elements, etc.).
• Promote athletic events and communicate promotions within the residence halls, student body, and community groups.
• Activate in-game productions and execute promotions in a fast-paced environment. 
• Create and manage memorable experiences for all fans and guests.

Overview:
