MARION, Ind. - No. 16 Indiana Wesleyan Men's Soccer hosted Midland University on a beautiful Labor Day Monday at IWU Soccer Field. Three different Wildcats recorded their first goals of the year and Camilo Pereda collected a trio of assists in a 4-0 victory over the Warriors.
The Wildcat offense got to work instantly, applying pressure. Yarek Carnegie received a cross from Camilo Pereda before the turn of the first minute and blew it past the goalkeeper to go up 1-0. Pereda assisted another goal in the first half, this time Valentino Solari scored his first as a Wildcat in the 19th minute. As the second half started, IWU found the back of the net within the first minute again. Kai Haskell put it in for the first time in 2026 and Pereda recorded his third assist of the contest. The Wildcats finished off their scoring in the 78th minute as Erick Vanzela headed in a corner by senior Seth Kallem. Ralph Montero played the whole 90 minutes in goal and made his first start, save, and shutout as a Wildcat.
