JACKSON, Mich. — Indiana Wesleyan University women's bowling competed in the WHAC #1 Jackson Open on Saturday, with both the Wildcat Varsity and JV squads taking part in the event. The IWU Women's Varsity team finished 11th out of 12 teams, with sophomore Ashley Johnson leading the Wildcats individually. Johnson finished 32nd out of 123 bowlers in the individual standings.
The Wildcat JV squad also competed against a strong field, finishing sixth out of eight teams. Freshman Khamrynn Allen led the JV team individually, placing 36th out of 123 bowlers.
Several other Wildcats posted strong individual finishes throughout the event. Alexis Dial finished 39th, followed by Reagan Parmley in 44th, Lauren Sherman in 53rd, and Harper Euton in 54th.
The WHAC#1-Jackson Open was another important step in the Wildcats' 2026-27 campaign as IWU continues to develop depth and experience throughout the entire women's program.
KARLIN PERSPECTIVE
- "This weekend gave us another opportunity to compete, learn, and continue growing together as a program," said IWU head coach Chris Karlin. "I was proud to see both our Varsity and JV teams competing and supporting one another. We have a lot of things we can take from this weekend as we continue to develop, and our focus now turns toward getting better and preparing for our next opportunity."
LOOKING FORWARD
- The Wildcats will return to the lanes October 16-17 in Addison, IL at the NAIABCA Fall Invite.
- IWU will use the coming weeks to build on the experience gained at the Jackson Open and prepare for the remainder of the fall portion of the season.
