JACKSON, Mich. - September 26, 2026 — The Indiana Wesleyan University men's bowling team turned in an impressive performance Saturday at the WHAC #1 Jackson Open, finishing second out of 11 varsity teams in a thrilling battle that came down to the final pins.
The Wildcats finished with a team total of 6,705 pins, averaging 216.3 pins per game. Spring Arbor University claimed first place with 6,718 total pins, finishing just 13 pins ahead of IWU.
Leading the way for the Wildcats was sophomore Camden Malott, who earned First Team All-Tournament honors after an outstanding three-game performance. Malott opened the tournament with a perfect 300 game, followed by games of 257 and 183, finishing with a 740 three-game series.
Malott's perfect game also established a new Indiana Wesleyan University program record for highest single game, surpassing the previous record of 299 set by Caiden Lundsford.
Malott finished first overall among 138 bowlers competing in the tournament.

- "This weekend gave us another opportunity to compete, learn, and continue growing together as a program," said IWU head coach Chris Karlin. "I was proud to see both our Varsity and JV teams competing and supporting one another. We have a lot of things we can take from this weekend as we continue to develop, and our focus now turns toward getting better and preparing for our next opportunity."
