IWU Men’s Bowling Places 6 at NAIABCA Fall Invite

ADDISON, Ill. - The Indiana Wesleyan University Men's Bowling team competed at the NAIABCA Fall Invite this past Friday and Saturday in a tournament including 17 teams.

The Wildcats Varsity squad finished with a team total of 5,055 pins to place 6th overall after finishing day 1 in 11th. A strong day 2 showing buoyed the team into the top 6. Pikeville University won 1st place overall in the Varsity competition.

The Wildcat JV team also competed at the NAIABCA against 4 other JV teams. After finishing the first day of competition in 3rd place, the JV team would finish 5th overall after day 2. St. Francis University claimed first overall in the JV competition.

KARLIN PERSPECTIVE

  • Men's Varsity Climbs into the Top Six
The Men's Varsity team put together a strong Day 2 performance, finishing 6th overall. After an 11th-place finish on Day 1, the Wildcats continued to battle and move up the standings, demonstrating the importance of teamwork and consistency throughout the Baker format.
  • Men's JV Finishes Fifth
The Men's JV team followed up its impressive 3rd-place finish on Day 1 with a 5th-place finish on Day 2. The group continued to compete hard through a challenging 25-game Baker schedule, building on the momentum from an excellent opening day.
  • One Team. One Purpose.
Baker competition puts the team mentality to the test. Every shot matters, every teammate has a role, and success depends on trusting one another. With 25 Baker games on the schedule, Day 2 was an opportunity for our Wildcats to grow together and continue developing the habits that will serve them throughout the season. At Indiana Wesleyan, we believe in Expect More—from ourselves, from each other, and in how we represent our university. We'll take the lessons from this weekend and continue working toward becoming the teams we know we can be.

LOOKING FORWARD

  • The Wildcats will return to competition October 31st for the Boilermaker Classic in Lafayette, Ind.
