MARION, Ind. – As Indiana Wesleyan Club Women's Soccer begins its fall 2026 season, they fall to a strong Marian University reserve team. As the Wildcats have begun their journey in the regular season, these games just mean more, looking forward to an end-of-season tournament for many reserve teams in the Midwest. All four goals came in the first half, but IWU kept the second half strong with a 0-0 score in that half.



THE ESSENTIALS

• Location: Marion, Indiana
• Record: IWU: 0-1

• Both teams started off strong with various opportunities, but stayed scoreless within the first 15 minutes.
• In the last 30 minutes, MU flooded shots from all over, ending up capitalizing on 2 of them back-to-back in the 28th minute.
• The next pair of goals came at the very end of the first half.

• After a halftime talk filled with reorganization and a key focus for what will happen in the second half, IWU started very strong and had more attacking opportunities in the first 5 minutes than they did all game.
• The score stayed at 0-4 for the rest of the game, with the Wildcats showing key strides and strength in the second half.
• Lydia Roberts, a freshman goalkeeper from Michigan, along with a very strong backline, held the score to 0-4, giving up no more goals after the first half.

• Lydia Roberts: Conceded 0 goals in her first game as a freshman.
• Mikalah Kuskye: Had 2 of the 3 Wildcats' shots in the game.

• The Wildcats will travel to Livonia, MI, to take on Madonna University's Reserve team on Saturday, September 12^th at 10:30 AM.
