MARION, Ind. - Indiana Wesleyan Football linebacker Terry Sylvester was named the Mid-States Football Association (MSFA) Mideast Defensive Player of the Week, as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon. This is the first time he has claimed the honor this season, and the first MSFA weekly award for the Wildcats this year.

Sylvester led the MSFA with 14 total tackles in the season opener against No. 9 Dordt. He also helped hold the Defenders to a 4-10 effort on 3rd down and 1-3 on 4th down.

IWU will travel to play St. Francis (Ill.) on Sept. 5 at 2:00PM.
