Spring Teams Combine for 87 NAIA Scholar-Athletes

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) have released the 2026 NAIA Scholar-Athletes for spring sports. This honor recognizes student-athletes in each of the spring sports who have excelled academically, including baseball, softball, golf, lacrosse, track & field, tennis, flag football, beach volleyball and men's volleyball. The eight Indiana Wesleyan University spring teams combined for 87 athletes to meet the qualifications.

Men's track & field led the way for the Wildcats with 21 Scholar-Athletes, followed by women's track and field with 19. Softball totaled 14, baseball and women's tennis tallied 8 each, while men's tennis recorded 7. Men's golf and women's golf rounded out the list with 5 for each program.

To qualify as an NAIA Scholar-Athlete, students must maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, appear on the eligibility certificate for their sport, and have attended their institution for at least one full year.
