Softball Splits Season Series with No. 20 Marian

Marian won the pitching battle between two of the top pitchers in the Crossroads League. The Knights scored solo runs in the 3rd and 5th innings to take a 2-0 advantage. The Wildcats were unable to put any offense together to come back.

IWU built a strong lead in the 1st inning of game two with 5 runs. They added 2 more in the 3rd inning on back-to-back singles by Malayni Clemens and Courtney Thomas. Marian picked up 3 runs in both the 4th and 5th innings but the Wildcats had scored enough in the early innings to hold their lead and come out with the 8-6 victory.
