HUNTINGTON, Ind. - Indiana Wesleyan Softball traveled back to Huntington University on Thursday afternoon to resume their suspended game from March 31st. The game started in the top of the 3rd inning with Huntington up to bat after the two scoreless innings from the first matchup. After five innings of play, the Foresters came out on top by a score of 8-4.
The Wildcats scored the first run of the day in the 4th inning when
Emma Wiberg took home from 3rd base during an attempted rundown play after a
Madisyn Tharpe walk. However, Huntington would come alive in the bottom half of the frame, scoring six runs. IWU scored three more runs in the 5th during two bases loaded situations to cut the deficit down to two. HU would extend their lead again in the following inning with two more runners coming across to give them eight total. In the final inning, the Wildcats scored one more run to make the final score 8-5 in favor of the Foresters.

GAME HIGHLIGHTS
- Emma Wiberg crossed home for the first tally of the game in the 4th inning during a rundown play after a drawn walk by Madisyn Tharpe.
- Huntington would then score 6 runs of their own in the same inning.
- With the bases loaded in the 5th, Brylee Bilger drew a walk to bring in Danica Fuller. Two batters later and the bases still full, Leah May hit a single into left field to score both Whitney Waddell and Maddie Martin to cut the deficit to 6-4.
- However, the Foresters would tack on 2 more in the bottom of the 6th to lead 8-4.
- In the 7th, IWU scored once more on a Madisyn Tharpe single into right field that brought home Courtney Thomas but that was all they could muster.

- The Wildcats play at Taylor tomorrow, April 11th at 12:00 PM to finish the suspended game from March 26th then will play the regularlry scheduled doubleheader afterwards.
