JACKSON, Mich. - Indiana Wesleyan men's track & field sophomore
Trenton Sweet was named the Crossroads League Men's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week, as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon. This is the first time he has claimed the honor this season, and the first weekly award for the Wildcats this year.
Sweet ran to wins and NAIA A-standards for Indiana Wesleyan in the 4x800-meter relay and the mile. The sophomore helped IWU's relay post the best mark in the NAIA this season at 7:40.32, while posting the seventh-best mile time at 4:12.
Indiana Wesleyan travels down to Indianapolis this weekend for the Heartland Invite at the Indiana State Fairgrounds. Links to live results will be available at IWUWildcats.com.
