Wildcats Bounce Back with 91-64 Road Victory

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – No. 11 Indiana Wesleyan men's basketball secured a bounce back victory over Marian 91-64 on Wednesday night. The red and grey shot 55.7% from the field, including an impressive 50.0% from three-point range, marking only the third game this season where they shot over 50% from deep as a team. Notably, seven different players made a three-pointer during the game. Additionally, the Wildcats tied their season-low with only 8 team fouls, showcasing disciplined play throughout the game. IWU built a substantial lead with a 27-point advantage midway through the second half, led by a bench that contributed 38 points.

FIRST HALF
  • IWU opened with a 6–0 run, including a layup by DJ Moore and a 3-pointer by Millen McCartney.
  • MU briefly led 16–12 after a jumper by Dylan Moles with 13:28 left, marking their largest lead of the half.
  • The Wildcats began to catch fire with a 8–4 run, capped by a layup from Kevin Sacas with 6:34 remaining to tie the game at 27-27.
  • The red and grey closed the half on a 19–6 stretch, highlighted by a Caedmon Bontrager 3-pointer, taking a 46–33 lead into halftime.
 
SECOND HALF
  • IWU opened with a 3-pointer by McCartney, setting the tone for the half.
  • Moore capitalized with a 3-pointer at 15:22, extending the visitor's lead to a double-digit margin.
  • A 10-0 run for the Wildcats in the final 5:00 of play was the final dagger to put the game out of reach
  • The red and grey finished strong for a 91–64 victory over the Knights, outscoring the home team 45–31 in the second half.
