KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Indiana Wesleyan Women's Soccer junior
Avery Sluss was named the NAIA Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week, as announced by the NAIA on Tuesday. This is her first NAIA Defensive Player of the Week honors this season and the second of her career. This is also the first NAIA Player of the Week honors for the Wildcats since 2023, the same season that Sluss earned her first career NAIA award.
The junior from Adrian, Michigan has had a stellar year up to this point, highlighted by this past week's action. Sluss faced off against No. 13 Spring Arbor and No. 24 Taylor and produced two shutouts for IWU with nine saves in 180 minutes of action.
The Wildcats host No. 23 Grace College on Wednesday, October 1st starting at 7:00 PM.
