NO. 7 VOLLEYBALL SWEEPS NO. 22 TAYLOR FOR FIFTH RANKED WIN OF THE SEASON

MARION, Ind. — Indiana Wesleyan (12-3, 8-0) secured a straight-set victory over Taylor (14-6, 5-3) at Luckey Arena on Saturday afternoon. The Wildcats posted scores of 25-22, 28-26, and 25-19 in a match that saw them hit a collective .312. The Wildcat attack was led by a 21-kill performance in the second set, helping to edge out a tense 28-26 win. The win marks the fifth ranked win for Indiana Wesleyan at the midway point of the season.

SET ONE

SET TWO 

  • The red and gray took an early 3-1 lead with kills from Joldersma and Shae Williams.  
  • The Trojans responded with a 5-0 run, highlighted by two service aces, to gain an 8-5 advantage.  
  • The Wildcats countered with a 4-0 stretch, including two kills by Joldersma, to tie the set at 8-8.  
  • In a tense finish, Indiana Wesleyan narrowly defeated TU 28-26 after a Taylor attack error secured the set for the Wildcats.
 

SET THREE 

  • The teams traded points early before TU went ahead 10-8.  
  • Indiana Wesleyan responded, leveling the score at 12-12 through strong attacks by Williams and Abbigail Porter.  
  • A service ace by Cadee Notter sparked a key 3-0 run, giving Indiana Wesleyan a 15-13 advantage.  
  • IWU closed the set on a decisive 10-6 stretch, capped by Williams' kill, securing the set 25-19.
