COLUMBIA, Ky. - No. 10 Indiana Wesleyan Men's Soccer took on No. 12 Lindsey Wilson in a top 15 NAIA matchup down in Kentucky. Both teams came out strong with physical play as a yellow card was issued within the first five minutes of play. The Wildcats started with early pressure on the Blue Raiders. The offense and midfielders kept the ball on Lindsey Wilson's side of the field for a majority of the first 20 minutes. The defense made stop after stop and would not let LWC get any momentum. The first goal of the game came in the 17th minute when Yarek Carnegie scored his second goal in as many games. The final 25 minutes of the half showed an even playing field as the 12th ranked Blue Raiders fought back. Coming close to halftime, IWU scored a goal that was called back due to an offsides call, but they took a 1-0 lead into the half. Lindsey Wilson turned the momentum around in the second half. They controlled the ball and forced pressure on the IWU defenders early and often. The game was tied in the 69th minute from a goal by Lindsey Wilson. Going down the stretch, both defenses fought hard to prevent a game winning goal. IWU keeper, Kadin Wolfe, made a great save with under 10 minutes to play to keep the score tied at 1. In the end, two top 15 teams played an even match that ended in a draw.
