MARION, IND. - The Indiana Wesleyan baseball team earned their third upset victory of the week on Saturday afternoon, defeating 1-seed and NAIA 9th ranked Taylor 5-0.
Kevin Corcoran had a dominant showing on the mound throwing a complete game shutout to send IWU to the Crossroads League Championship game. The Wildcats earned their second shutout victory of the tournament, following
Brock Buckley's seven inning complete game shutout against MVNU to open the tournament.

- For the second straight game, IWU came out hot, scoring 3 runs in the first. A Trevor Vojtkofsky single brought Kyle Wu around, Ty Mathews scored Greg Vineyard with a double, and Darien Pugh platted Mathews with a double of his own.
- Neither team scored until Grant Payson lined a ball into left center in the 6th and Pugh scored on an error from the Trojan center fielder.
- Andrew Sinish scored Mathews again with a sac fly in the 7th to add another insurance run.
- Four Wildcats recorded multiple hits in the win.
- Kevin Corcoran had his best day as a Wildcat, going 9 innings with 0 runs, 4 hits, and 2 strikeouts.
- The Wildcats will play in the Crossroads League Tournament Championship at Monday at 2:30 PM.
- They will face the winner of #1 Taylor and #2 Saint Francis. Both teams would need to beat Indiana Wesleyan twice on Monday to claim the title.
