KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The NAIA released the seeding and opponents on Thursday evening of the 2025 NAIA Women's Basketball National Championship First & Second Round presented by Ballogy. The Wildcats earned the No. 1 seed in the Liston Quadrant and will welcome, Grand View (Iowa) (8-seed), and Olivet Nazarene (Ill.) (9-seed), and Philander Smith (Ark.) (16-seed) to the campus of Indiana Wesleyan University next week.
The top ranked Wildcats will make their 22nd NAIA Tournament appearance when they take the court against No. 16-seeded Philander Smith (Ark.) on March 14th at 5:30 p.m.
No. 16-seeded Philander Smith (Ark.) comes to Marion boasting a record of 20-10. The Bulldogs will make their third NAIA Tournament appearance after earning an automatic bid after winning the HBCU Athletic Conference Tournament. No. 8-seeded Grand View (Iowa) will bring a record of 23-7 to Lucky Arena and earned their way into the field with an At-Large berth from the Heart of America Athletic Conference. The Vikings will make their twelfth appearance in the national tournament when they match-up against the No. 9-seed Olivet Nazarene (Ill.) who has a 23-7 record. The Tigers earned an automatic bid out of the Chicacoland Collegiate Athletic Conference as the regular season runner up and are making their fifteenth national tournament appearance.
