MARION, IND. - No. 2 Indiana Wesleyan women's basketball got back in the win column on Wednesday night, defeating Grant County rival Taylor 87-46. The Wildcats held a 14 point advantage at half and grew their lead by five in the third before a dominant 30-8 scoring advantage in the final frame to secure the dominant victory.

WHAT HAPPENED

• The Wildcats grabbed a 6 point lead after the first quarter after forcing Taylor to just 5-18 from the field. Maddie Lawrence kept the Wildcat offense rolling with 6 points.
• The IWU defense kept the pressure on the Trojans, forcing 8 turnovers in the second quarter. The red and gray doubled up TU in the frame 16-8 to grow their lead to double-digits at halftime.
• Both offenses were clicking in the third. IWU shot 9-17 and knocked down 2 triples while Taylor went 8-12 with a pair of threes of their own. Indiana Wesleyan still grew their lead in the quarter and held a 19 point advantage at the end of the quarter.
• The Wildcats dominated the final frame, going 13-19 from the field, knocking down 3 from distance, and held Taylor to 1-14 from the field.
