Season In Review: 2025 Football

MARION, Ind. – Indiana Wesleyan football finished their season with a 9-3 overall record, including an undefeated conference record for their fourth-consecutive MSFA Mideast Championship. The Wildcats qualified for the NAIA Football Championship Series for the fourth-straight season before falling to #7 Lindsey Wilson, 31-57.


TEAM HIGHLIGHTS
  • IWU set more than 30 single-season program records.
  • The Wildcats ranked Top 3 in the NAIA with 48.8 points/game, 520 yards/game, 348 passing yards/game, 41 passing touchdowns, 322 first downs, 75 made PAT's.
  • The defense ranked Top 7 in the nation with 20 defensive interceptions, 841 tackles, and 32 sacks.

INDIVIDUAL HIGHLIGHTS
  • Arjun Lothe set new single-game program records with games recording 50 pass attempts, 435 yards, and seven touchdowns. He set new single-season program records with a 173.7 efficiency rating, 3,938 yards, 328.2 yards/game, 41 touchdowns, and eight 300-yard games.
  • The offensive line unit set a single-season program record while only allowing one sack.
  • Isaac Smith set new program career records with 210 receptions, 2,957 total yards, 95.4 yards/game, and 36 touchdowns. He also set new single season program records with 87 receptions, 1,252 yards, 16 touchdowns, and 104.3 yards/game.
  • Drew Dutton tied the NAIA single-season record with four kickoff returns for touchdowns. He was also elite as a wide-receiver and tied the single-game program record with 3 touchdown receptions in a game.
  • Simon Vinson set single-season receiving records for tight ends with 40 receptions, 637 yards, and 7 touchdowns. He also set career program records for tight ends with 59 receptions, 845 yards, and 10 touchdowns.
  • Josh Clifton set the program career records with 273 points and 195 made PAT's.
  • Leo Morrow set the program single-season record with 389 punt return yards.
  • Brock Short set the single-game program record with 21.16 yards/rush (min. 100 total yards) earlier this season against Judson.
  • Grant Irwin set the single-game program record with 57.5 yards/catch (min. 100 total yards) earlier this season against Judson.
