MARION, Ind. - No. 6 Indiana Wesleyan Women's Soccer hosted No. 16 Grace College for the Crossroads League Tournament Semifinal on Saturday evening. The battle to advance to the championship game began with both sides playing lock down defense. Throughout the first half, many shots from both teams were blocked before getting near the goal. Despite outshooting the Wildcats 6-4, the Lancers did not register a shot on goal in the first half. Carlie Grosser and Tylar Whitaker each fired a shot that landed on frame but both were saved by Grace. The 0-0 tie stayed true all the way until the 64th minute when Grace received a penalty kick attempt and capitalized to take the lead. IWU picked up the aggressiveness the rest of the way, not allowing Grace to attempt a shot the rest of the match. However, even with the sustained pressure, the Lancers prevented the Wildcats from finding the net. Indiana Wesleyan now awaits the NAIA Selection Show on November 14th to find out where and who they will play next.
