FOOTBALL EARNS 26 ALL-LEAGUE HONORS; LOTHE AND PENHOLLOW NAMED PLAYERS OF THE YEAR

MARION, Ind. - The Mid-States Football Association (MSFA) announced this season's All-League awards on Monday afternoon. Indiana Wesleyan football collected a program-record 26 total accolades. As a member of the Mideast division of the MFSA, the Wildcats garnered 17 First Team awards, six Second Team honors, and three Honorable Mentions.

The list was highlighted by Wildcat quarterback, Arjun Lothe, who was named the Most Valuable Player and offensive lineman, Logan Penhollow, who earned Offensive Lineman of the Year honors. Offensive Coordinator, Travis Palmer, was also voted the Assistant Coach of the Year.

“Our theme this year was Family,”  said by Head Coach Andrew Rode. " Our team was selfless and chose unity all year long, and because of that many of the individuals get rewarded with All-Conference awards because of our team success. I am proud of how this group has battled all year long.”

Lothe Most Valuable Player 2025

 

 

 

 

ARJUN LOTHE

MOST VALUABLE PLAYER | FIRST TEAM

Arjun Lothe was named the 2025 MSFA Mideast Most Valuable Player in his first season as the starting quarterback for the Wildcats. He led the Mideast with a program record 3,704 yards on 220 completions. He also led the Mideast with a program record 38 touchdowns while averaging 336.7 yards-per-game.

 

 

 

 

LOGAN PENHOLLOW

OFFENSIVE LINEMAN OF THE YEAR | FIRST TEAM

Logan Penhollow was named the 2025 MSFA Mideast Offensive Lineman of the Year. He and the rest of the line lead the way for an offense that led the MSFA with 50.5 points-per-game, 528.5 yards-per-game, 3,945 passing yards, and zero sacks allowed.

TRAVIS PALMER

ASSISTANT COACH | OFFENSIVE COORDINATOR

Travis Palmer was named the 2025 MSFA Mideast Assistant Coach of the Year. The second-year Offensive Coordinator lead an offense that ranked first in the MSFA with 50.5 points-per-game, 528.5 yards-per-game, 3,945 passing yards, and 76 touchdowns.

 

 

 

 

CAMERON MORRISON 

RUNNING BACK | FIRST TEAM

Cameron Morrison was named to the 2025 MSFA Mideast First Team at running back. He ranked top five in the MSFA among running backs with 135 carries, 782 yards, and 10 touchdowns. He averaged 71.1 yards-per-game and 5.8 yards-per-carry.

ISAAC SMITH 

WIDE RECEIVER | FIRST TEAM

Isaac Smith was named to the 2025 MSFA Mideast First Team at wide receiver. He led the Mideast with a program record 1,196 receiving yards on 83 catches. He also led the conference with 14 touchdown receptions while averaging a program-record 108.7 yards-per-game.

 

 

 

 

DREW DUTTON 

WIDE RECEIVER & RETURN SPECIALIST | FIRST TEAM

Drew Dutton was named to the 2025 MSFA Mideast First Team at both wide receiver and return specialist. He led the MSFA with 23.1 yards per catch among receivers with more than 18 catches. He also led the MSFA with 38.8 yards per kickoff return and tied an NAIA record with four kickoff returns for touchdowns.

SIMON VINSON

TIGHT END | FIRST TEAM

Simon Vison was named to the 2025 MSFA Mideast First Team at tight end. He led tight ends in the MSFA with 38 receptions, 616 yards, and seven touchdowns. He set single-season program records among tight ends for the Wildcats in all three categories.

 

 

 

 

PAYTON HUTCHINS

OFFENSIVE LINE | FIRST TEAM

Payton Hutchins was named to the 2025 MSFA Mideast First Team on the offense line. He and the rest of the offensive line that lead the way for an offense that led the MSFA with 50.5 points-per-game, 528.5 yards-per-game, 3,945 passing yards, and zero sacks allowed.

DEFENSIVE LINE | FIRST TEAM

Anthony Cheesebourough was named to the 2025 MSFA Mideast First Team on the defensive line. He was 4th in the conference with 7 sacks and 6th with 12 tackles for loss. He tallied 34 total tackles along with a forced fumble and two recoveries.

BROCK THOMASON

LINEBACKER | FIRST TEAM

Brock Thomason was named to the 2025 MSFA Mideast First Team at linebacker. He ranked 4th the Mideast with 86 total tackles and 3rd with 51 assisted tackles. He led the linebacker core with eight TFL’s, 2.5 sacks, an interception, and two pass breakups.

 

 

 

 

TERRY SYLVESTER

LINEBACKER | FIRST TEAM

Terry Sylvester was named to the 2025 MSFA Mideast First Team at linebacker. He ranked 6th the Mideast with 39 assisted tackles and 11th with 65 total tackles. He was a force defensively with 6.5 TFL’s, three pass breakups, an interception and a 0.5 sack.

DEVEN AREVALO

DEFENSIVE BACK | FIRST TEAM

Deven Arevalo was named to the 2025 MSFA Mideast First Team at defensive back. He finished the regular season first in Mideast with 110 interception return yards on his four picks. He also tallied 54 tackles, 2 pass breakups, and a blocked kick.

 

 

 

 

VINCIE SOLANO

DEFENSIVE BACK | FIRST TEAM

Vincie Solano was named to the 2025 MSFA Mideast First Team at defensive back. He finished the regular season ranked 1st in Mideast with six interceptions and 9th with 67 tackles. He also recorded 2 pass breakups and 1.5 TFL’s.

DEFENSIVE BACK | FIRST TEAM

Da’Veon Turner was named to the 2025 MSFA Mideast First Team at defensive back. He finished the regular season ranked 8th in Mideast with six pass breakups. He also recorded 2 interceptions for 47 return yards, with one being for a touchdown.

 

 

 

 

JOSH CLIFTON

KICKER | FIRST TEAM

Josh Clifton was named to the 2025 MSFA Mideast First Team at kicker. He led all MSFA kickers with 86 points and 68 extra-point attempts. He was also 2nd in the Mideast with six field goals made.

Garrett Hathaway was named to the 2025 MSFA Mideast Second Team on the defensive line. He was tied at the top of the MSFA with three forced fumbles and was third on the team with 3.5 sacks.

 

 

 

 

QUINTIN WALKER

DEFENSIVE LINE | SECOND TEAM

Quintin Walker was named to the 2025 MSFA Mideast Second Team on the defensive line. He was 9th in the MSFA with 4.5 sacks and recorded a forced fumble. He also totaled 17 tackles.

JACK DOTY

PUNTER | SECOND TEAM

Jack Doty was named to the 2025 MSFA Mideast Second Team at punter. He has averaged 37.6 yards per punt while placing seven inside the 20 yard-line, giving the Wildcats consistent field position control.

 

 

 

 

RILEY STEWART

LONG SNAPPER | SECOND TEAM

Riley Stewart was named to the 2025 MSFA Mideast Second Team as a long snapper. He consistently set up teammate Josh Clifton and Jack Doty as the top kicker/punter duo in the MSFA.

BRAXTON MYERS

WIDE RECEIVER | HONORABLE MENTION

Braxton Myers was named an honorable mention on the 2025 MSFA Mideast Team at wide receiver. He was 3rd on the team with 490 yards and a consistent deep threat averaging 20.4 yards per catch with four touchdowns.

 

 

 

 

AJ SCHAFER

TIGHT END | HONORABLE MENTION

AJ Schafer was named an honorable mention on the 2025 MSFA Mideast Team at tight end. He was an elite blocker for the run game and totaled 6 receptions for 61 yards, averaging 10.1 yards per game.

ANTONIO WHITE

DEFENSIVE LINE | HONORABLE MENTION

Antonio White was named an honorable mention on the 2024 MSFA Mideast Team on the defensive line. He finished third on the team with 3.5 sacks and 6.5 TFL’s. He also totaled 33 tackles and had two pass breakups.

IWU received the No. 11 seed in the 2025 NAIA Football Championship Series and earned a first round bye. They advance to the Second Round on Saturday, Nov. 29th and will learn their second-round opponent on Saturday, Nov. 22 after the first-round games are played.
