JOLDERSMA AND PORTER EARN THIRD CONSECUTIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR AWARDS; WILDCATS CLAIM 10 ALL-LEAGUE HONORS

MARION, Ind. - The Crossroads League announced this year's volleyball All-League awards on Monday afternoon with Indiana Wesleyan claiming ten league honors. The Wildcats finished their regular season and Crossroads League Tournament with a 27-4 overall record and won the Crossroads League with an 17-1 league record, also claiming the Crossroads League Tournament title with a 3-0 win over No. 12 Mount Vernon Nazarene. The Wildcats swept through the tournament, and dropped just 1 set in the past three season during the Crossroads League Tournement.

COACH MOATS PERSPECTIVE

“Abbie, Eva, and Marissa’s first team all conference awards were a reflection of three athletes on this team who trained hard, played with passion, and made everyone better around them! They loved their teammates and reflective a Christ-like spirit! Cadee and Marin’s second team award who so well deserved! Two athletes, one standard: excellence! Their work, grit and heart were noticed as they led with a quiet spirit that everyone respected! Jess is so deserving of being awarded honorable mention in the league! I am so proud of her determination and hard work this year to bring excellence on the court but also a joy and love of the game! For a freshmen to play and contribute like Shae did is rare. But she stepped into college volleyball with fire! She allowed herself to be coached and followed her upperclassmen’s work ethic and grit to reach as high as she could this season! All Freshmen team is just the beginning!"

CANDACE MOATS

COACH OF THE YEAR

Moats was named Crossroads League Coach of the Year for the eighth time in her career and for the third consecutive season. She guided the Wildcats to a 27-4 record, Crossroads League regular season championship, and the Crossroads League Tournament Championship. In the past three season Moats has led the Wildcats to a 62-1 record in the Crossroads League, and winning 9 consecutive Crossroads League Tournament matches, 8 of which came via sweeps.

EVA JOLDERSMA

PLAYER OF THE YEAR | FIRST TEAM

Eva Joldersma was named the 2025 Crossroads League Player of the Year, marking the third consecutive season she has claimed the award, along with earning a spot on the All-League First Team for the fourth time. Joldersma's talent was showcased by her 4.24 kills per set in Crossroads League play which ranked first in the league. She recorded 216 total kills against Crossroads League opponents with a hitting percentage of .257, 11 digs, 27 blocks, and 11 service aces. She was named Crossroads League Attacker of the Week three times this season.

ABBIGAIL PORTER

SETTER OF THE YEAR | FIRST TEAM

Abbigial Porter was named Crossroads League Setter of the Year for a third consecutive season, also being named to the All-League First Team. The Winona Lake, Ind. native ranked third in total assists with 603 against Crossroads League opponents, but led the league in assists per set with 11.82, nearly 2 assists per set better than second. She tallied 158 digs, 32 blocks, and 13 service aces in league play. She was named Crossroads League Setter of the Week 8 times this season, earning the honor twenty-five times in her career.

MARISSA MULLINS

FIRST TEAM

Marissa Mullins earned a spot on the Crossroads League First Team for second time in her three seasons with the Wildcats. She was a force on defense posting the second most blocks against Crossroads League opponents with 70 and had the third highest blocks per set at 1.13. On offense she ranked second for IWU with 174 kills, a league second best .373 hitting percentage, and had the 11th most kills per set with 2.74. She was named Crossroads League Defender of the Week on September 8th and Crossroads League Attacker of the Week on November 17th.

CADEE NOTTER

SECOND TEAM

Cadee Notter earned her second career All-Crossroads League honor, being named to the second team after an honorable mention selection last season. She ranked fourth in the league with 546 digs and 5.06 digs per set. She added 56 assists and 13 service aces while serving as the Wildcat Libero.

MARIN SANCHEZ

SECOND TEAM

Marin Sanchez followed up her Crossroads League Freshman of the Year Campaign with a selection to the All-League Second Team in 2025. The sophomore Outside Hitter totaled 139 kills with a .224 hitting percentage, 96 digs, and 13 blocks in Crossroads League play.

JESSICA ICKES

HONORABLE MENTION

Jessica Ickes claimed her first All-League award with a spot on the Honorable Mention Team. The senior Middle ranked 9th in the Crossroads League with 52 blocks while averaging .85 blocks per set. On offense she added 92 kills. She was named Crossroads League Defender of the Week on September 22nd.

SHAE WILLIAMS

ALL-FRESHMAN

Shae Williams capped off her impressive freshman campaign with a spot on the All-Freshman team. She ranked in the top fifteen in the Crossroads League with 161 total kills while averaging 3.22 per set (3rd in the league) and hitting .283. She added 33 digs and 28 blocks on defense. Williams was named Crossroads League Attacker of the Week twice.
