JACKSON, Mich. - Indiana Wesleyan women's basketball was voted No. 3 in the Crossroads League Preseason Poll, released by the league office on Wednesday.

Ellie Kelleher were named Preseason Second Team All-League.
Head Coach
Ethan Whaley enters his 9th season at the helm for the Wildcats with a 218-56 career record. IWU concluded last season with a 34-3 overall record and finished the season in the NAIA National Championship game, falling to Dordt 82-72. They won both the Crossroads League regular season with a 16-2 record and the Crossroads League Tournament with a 64-58 win over Marian.
Emily Mattingly played a key role in the Wildcats run to the national title game last season, averaging 5.2 points per game, 3.1 rebounds per game, and totaled 48 steals. She turned in some of her best performances down the stretch, reaching double digits scoring in three of the Wildcats six NAIA National tournament games. Mattingly added 13 points int he semifinals and 10 points in the championship game.
Ellie Kelleher finished her freshman season with 126 points, 68 rebounds, and 59 assists. She shot over 40% from the field and 84% from the free throw line. Defensively she recorded 20 steals.
The Wildcats tip off their season against Calumat St. Joseph on October 24th at 7:00 PM in Luckey Arena. The Crossroads League slate begins on November 19th at home against Goshen.
