MARION, Ind. - No. 15 Women's Soccer bounces back to win big against Madonna University, 5-1. IWU scored its first goal of the day from Jackie Norris in the 18th minute. A little under a minute later, Macy Browning found the back of the net off of an assist by Mallory Krueger. The Wildcats scored again in the 42nd minute when Katelyn VanderArk received an assist from Julia Tiemann. IWU went back to work in the same minute as Aliyah Denton assisted Jada Swanson to go up 4-0 at the half. The second half started with the second penalty kick goal, this one by Sarah Foulk in the 55th minute. Madonna's only goal of the game came in the 66th minute,  but the Wildcats held strong to win 5-1.

WHAT HAPPENED

• The first goal of the game came from a penalty kick off the leg of Jackie Norris for her first goal of the year in the 18th minute. 
• IWU scored again quickly in the 19th minute when Macy Browning found the back of the net assisted by Mallory Krueger.
• Freshman Katelyn VanderArk scored her second goal of the year in the 42nd minute off of an assist by Julia Tiemann.
• The Wildcats attacked immediately after when Jada Swanson got her first goal of the season.
• Sarah Foulk also gained her first goal of the new year when she scored on the second penalty kick of the game for IWU.

NOTABLE NUMBERS

• 4: Four Wildcats scored their first goal of the year; Jackie Norris, Macy Browning, Jada Swanson, and Sarah Foulk. 
• 18: IWU sent eighteen shots today compared to the Crusaders seven, thirteen of which came in the first half.
