SEASON IN REVIEW: 2023-2024 WOMEN'S BASKETBALL

MARION, Ind. - Indiana Wesleyan women's basketball capped off the 2023-24 season ranked No. 4 in the NAIA. The Wildcats finished with a 29-5 overall record and finished second in the Crossroads League regular season and tournament. IWU qualified for the NAIA National Championship for the sixth consecutive year and advanced to Sioux City, Iowa for the Round of 16.


TEAM HIGHLIGHTS
  • The Wildcats finished second in the Crossroads League Regular Season Championship after going 16-2 in league play with the only losses coming to No. 1 Marian University.
  • IWU reached the Crossroads League Tournament title game for the fourth-straight year, falling  77-66 to No. 1 Marian on March 4, 2024.
  • Indiana Wesleyan recorded 5 wins over NAIA Top-25 teams, including a 4 game stretch in December where they outscored their opponents 288-195, including and 82-74 victory over then No.1 Campbellsville University. .
  • IWU was ranked in the top 4 in the NAIA all season long, finishing the season at No. 4 and reaching as high as No. 2.

  • 6th - Points Per Game - 82.6 
  • 8th - Field Goal Percentage - 46.1%
  • 9th - Offensive Efficiency - 1.078 


INDIVIDUAL HIGHLIGHTS
  • Four Wildcats led the offense in double figure scoring with Lilli Frasure averaging 18.6 points per game, Jordan Reid with 12.0 points per game, Taylor Folkema with 11.2 points per game, and Jade Nutley with 10.2 points per game.
  • Frasure's 18.6 ppg finished T31st in the NAIA for scoring. She also ranked 12th in the nation with 156 assists points and 21st with 595 points.
  • Reid and Frasure both ranked 20th in the NAIA with 2.8 steals per game.
  • Jordan Reid, Klair Merrell, Jade Nutley, and Taylor Folkema saw action in all 34 games this year.
  • Reid and Merrell started all 34 games for the Wildcats this season.
