- A layup from Taylor Folkema to take the lead with a minute to go saw IWU keep the lead to enter the third quarter up 39-34.
- With a tightly contested third quarter, Folkema hit another layup with two seconds to go to center the fourth with a Wildcat lead at 53-52.
- After Marian gained a two-possession lead with four minutes to go, the Wildcats gained the lead with a Jade Nutley layup before Marian closed out the game with a final score of 65-68.
