LOGANSPORT, Ind. – No. 14 Indiana Wesleyan baseball took on the Union College Bulldogs on Saturday, coming away with a 10-4 win. Ty Mathews carried the Wildcat offense with 2 home runs while Luke ROman posted the first homer of his career.

GAME HIGHLIGHTS

 

 

• Luke Roman got a high scoring first inning started with his first career home run. Caleb Engelsman drove home three runs with a double, extending the early lead to 5. Engelsman later scored on a Bulldog error, wrapping up the first inning with the Wildcats up 6-0.
• Ty Mathews picked up where he left off last season, blasting his first homer of the season in the second inning. MJ Stavola scored later in the inning on an Andrew Sinish single.
• Union got two runs back in the 4th inning.
• Mathews recorded his second home run in the bottom of the 4th, putting IWU up 9-2.
• Stavola drove in Roman in the 8th to extend the lead to 10-2.
• The Bulldogs added two runs in 9th, making the final score 10-4.
