HUNTINGTON, Ind. – No. 3 Indiana Wesleyan men's basketball opened up Crossroads League play on Wednesday night on the road at No. 13 Huntington. The Wildcats dropped their first game of the season to the Foresters, 97-88. IWU starts 0-1 in the conference for the first time since 2019 and surrenders their first loss to HU in the last four meetings.

WHAT HAPPENED

• Both teams shot over 52% through the first ten minutes as the score was tied 22-22 early.
• Isaac Andrews knocked down three shots from deep in the last ten minutes of the first half to lead IWU to a 41-38 lead at halftime.
• Huntington put together a 25-20 run through the opening half of the second period for their first lead since the beginning of the game, 63-61.
• HU shot 67% from the field in the second half and IWU was unable to match their explosive offense.

• 56: HU's 56% from the field is the highest percentage by an IWU opponent this year.
• 23: IWU made over 20 free-throws for the third time this season.
• 21: HU took control of the game with a 21-0 run over a five-minute span midway through the second half.
