NO. 3 WOMEN'S BASKETBALL DEFEATS CRIMSON WAVE BY 81; NUTLEY RECORDS 1000TH CAREER POINT

WHITING, Ind. - No. 3 Indiana Wesleyan women's basketball picked up a dominant 81 point win over Calumet College of St. Joseph on Thursday, it is the Wildcat's largest margin of victory since a 93 point win over IU East in 1997. Jade Nutley recorded her 1000th career point on a three pointer in the third quarter.

  • The Wildcats set the tone early in the first quarter, scoring the first 9 points of the game and ended the quarter with a 25-6 lead.
  • Indana Wesleyan completely dominated the second quarter, outscoring the Crimson Wave 31-0. In the quarter IWU forced 17 turnovers and only allowed Calumet to put up 7 shots.
  • The Wildcats forced 14 more turnovers in the third quarter, and put up 32 points to extend their lead by 24 points. Jade Nutley reached 1001 career points on her final shot of the game with 7:49 left in the quarter.
  • IWU knocked down 4 three pointers in the final frame, outscoring Calumet 21-14 in the quarter.
