Match Recap: Women's Tennis |

NO. 19 WOMEN'S TENNIS DEFEAT MARIAN TO REMAIN UNDEFEATED

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - No. 19 Indiana Wesleyan women's tennis came out and played their best doubles in the last two years to dominate Marian and get the doubles point. Katie Parr and Breann Barger won 6-1 at No. 2 and Sofia Loren Munoz and France Antezana clinched the doubles point with a 6-2 victory.

In the singles, Sofia Loren Munoz won quickly to give IWU the 2-0 lead. Marian stormed back and won the next three matches at No. 2-4 singles. Down 3-2, Katie Parr and Breann Barger had to win their singles matches for IWU to win. They both came out strong early before heavy rains delayed the match an hour. Once indoors, it was a back and forth match at No. 5 and 6 singles. Barger finally closed out her match 7-5, 7-5. Freshman Katie Parr had the entire match on her shoulders. Parr braved the pressure and clinched the match for the Wildcats with a 6-1, 7-6 win.
