INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - No. 19 Indiana Wesleyan women's tennis came out and played their best doubles in the last two years to dominate Marian and get the doubles point.
Katie Parr and
Breann Barger won 6-1 at No. 2 and
Sofia Loren Munoz and
France Antezana clinched the doubles point with a 6-2 victory.
In the singles,
Sofia Loren Munoz won quickly to give IWU the 2-0 lead. Marian stormed back and won the next three matches at No. 2-4 singles. Down 3-2,
Katie Parr and
Breann Barger had to win their singles matches for IWU to win. They both came out strong early before heavy rains delayed the match an hour. Once indoors, it was a back and forth match at No. 5 and 6 singles. Barger finally closed out her match 7-5, 7-5. Freshman
Katie Parr had the entire match on her shoulders. Parr braved the pressure and clinched the match for the Wildcats with a 6-1, 7-6 win.

- "The women played the best I have seen in doubles today!" said James Gleghorn, Head Tennis Coach. "It was a battle in the singles. I am so proud of how we competed. There has been so much going on off the court this season, and they keep competing so well and praying for each other. Great team win today! Blessed to coach the ladies."
- The Wildcats will return home to Marion looking to continue their unbeaten as they play Bethel on Saturday at 11:00 a.m.
