THE SERIES


 
  • IWU leads the all-time series 3-2. After losing the first meeting in the series on the road, the Wildcats won the next two in front of their home fans. After a loss in the 2021 campaign, IWU registered a 16-point win away from home a season ago.

DEFENSE DOMINATES


 
  • After a tightly-contested first half, IWU's defense continued to showcase their ability to pounce on the opposition. The Wildcats recorded four interceptions on the day – from four different student-athletes. Neil Campbell, Drake Deshetsky, Jamis Carson and Clayton Mosher each registered an interception in the victory. Additionally, Luke Bays forced a fumble and Ammen Hicks scooped it up for a five-turnover performance.

AT THE HELM


 

  • Andrew Rode has been excellent at the helm of the program this season. IWU is 4-0 on the year and ranked No. 4 in the NAIA national poll. After trailing 14-7 at the break, Rode and his staff made a few adjustments and promptly held Roosevelt scoreless over the final 30 minutes of action while his team piled on 28 points after the break for a 35-14 win.

WILDCAT LEADERS


 

  • Xander Stokes leads the passing attack and is 77-of-126 for 929 yards with 11 scores. He accounts for 232 yards a game through the air.
  • Levi Tidwell is coming off a record performance and leads the team with 19 receptions for 318 yards and four scores. Caden Currie has 14 receptions (175 yards) while Tristen Hayes (139 yards) and Dederrian Williams (1160) both have double digit receptions and over 100 yards receiving this year.
  • Williams is the featured back with 85 rushing attempts for 422 yards. He averages 5.0 yards per carry with four scores on the year. Isaiah Gibbs is the only other student-athlete with double-digit carries with 22 for 80 yards.
 
  • Luke Bays leads the defense with 42 total tackles while Clayton Mosher has 36 stops. Campbell has a team-best 16 solo tackles.
  • Isaac Abeo leads the defense with six tackles for loss, including four sacks. Campbell and Preston Sykes each have three interceptions.
  • Luke Bays leads the defense with two forced fumbles and Ammen Hicks has tallied two fumble recoveries.
 
  • Nolan Foley averages 33.2 yards per punt. Josh Clifton has connected on one-of-two field goal attempts, while being a perfect 18-of-18 on PAT's.

SIENA HEIGHTS LEADERS


 

  • Elijah Taylor has played in all three games this season and has completed 33-of-63 for 435 yards with six touchdowns.
  • Eric Williams III is averaging 53.3 yards a game and has a team-best four touchdown receptions on nine catches. Credell Prather and Bobby Opalewski share team-high honors with 10 receptions apiece.
  • Ethan LoPresto and Jordan Ramsey have carried the bulk of the handoffs this year. LoPresto has a team-high 38 attempts for 243 yards (6.4 yards per carry) with four touchdowns. Ramsey is averaging 4.9 yards a carry with one score.
 
  • Clarke Hamilton has a team-best 16 tackles, including 10 of the solo variety. Zach Keyser has nine solo stops.
  • Isaaiah Pizzo and Mason Leach each have an interception. Pizzo and Joseph Wharton share team-high honors with two forced fumbles apiece.
 
  • Andre Bookman is a solid punter, registering 43.2 yards a kick on the year. He placed five inside the 20-yard line and forced six fair catches. David Medvedik has made all 13 extra points and has connected on his one field goal attempt of 32 yards.

WHAT TO WATCH


 

  • Indiana Wesleyan and Siena Heights have each faced a common opponent this year – Roosevelt. Siena Heights lost a 38-10 contest to Roosevelt while the Wildcats are coming off a 35-14 win over Roosevelt. Siena Heights could muster 56 yards rushing on 24 attempts in that contest. Watch for the Wildcats to stop the run and force Siena Heights to throw the ball into the vaunted defense that has collected 11 interceptions in four games.
