MARION, Ind. - Indiana Wesleyan men's soccer gets their first clean sheet and ranked win today after a 2-0 victory over No. 19-ranked Indiana Tech. The Wildcat defense put a shift in with only one shot for Indiana Tech the entire game, while the attack did plenty of work on the other side. Senior Giuseppe Santacroce tacked on two assists as he set up an early Brandon Nyaguruno goal in the 19th minute and a Taha Houssni goal in the 72nd minute. Each goal was the third of the season for both players. Tonight's result could be just what IWU needs to break into the Top 25 rankings next week.

WHAT HAPPENED

• Sophomore Brandon Nyagurungo put his third goal of the season in the bottom-left corner in the 19th minute from a perfect pass by senior Giuseppe Santacroce, who has been efficient for the team to start.
• IWU went into the half leading 1-0 as a result of a strong showing on both sides of the pitch.
• Junior Taha Houssni puts his third goal into the back of the net in the 72nd minute with another great ball from Giuseppe Santacroce. 

NOTABLE NUMBERS

• 1: The IWU defense was solid today with only one shot and no shots on goal for the Indiana Tech attack.
• 2: Giuseppe Santacroce had two assists today, with two goals and two assists through three games played.
• 8: The Wildcats attack was productive in the first half, with eight shots and four on goal.

• "Tonight was a total team effort," said Matt Reeb, Head Men's Soccer Coach. "Guys across the board did their job and executed well. The boys can enjoy it tonight, but then tomorrow the marathon continues."
