HUNTINGTON, IND. -  Indiana Wesleyan baseball advanced to the Crossroads League Championship game with a 5-1 victory over Huntington on Saturday. The Wildcats will face the winner of Huntington vs. Saint Francis on Monday for the league title.

GAME HIGHLIGHTS

 

 

• The Wildcats loaded the bases in the second inning with no outs, but didn't find their first run until the 4th when Jeff Morton scored on a sac fly from Lucas Goodin. MJ Stavola's single to right field scored Caleb Engelsman to give IWU a 2-0 lead after 4 innings.
• Luke Roman and Goodin both scored in the 6th to extend the lead to 4-0.
• Huntington got one run back in the 8th to keep thing close.
• Colin Yoder scored in the 9th on a Jeff Morton single, pushing the lead back to 4.
• Brock Buckley had a stellar outing on the mound as the freshman went 7 innings with 6 strikeouts, only 4 hits, and 1 run.
• Hunter Hoffman earned his second save of the day, pitching 2 innings with 3 strikeouts, 1 hit, and 0 runs.
